Our Boat:
The RoodDawg is a 28' 1989 Sportcraft Caprice equipped to be a fish catching machine.
The boat has ample deck space for multiple anglers to fight their fish at the same time, as well as a roomy cabin equipped with a head for personal convenience. The boat is powered by a 454 cu in Merccruiser engine that can get us to where the fish are in a hurry. RoodDawg is fully insured and USCG inspected. We carry all of the necessary safety equipment in order for you to have a fun and safe trip on Lake Michigan.

Our Equipment:
The RoodDawg is not only a charter boat, but a competitive tournament fishing boat as well. To be competitive like all other sports we must stay on top of our game. That is why we continually update our fishing tackle and maintain top of the line equipment. History has proven to us that by staying current with our equipment we land more fish. Currently we are running Shamino Tekoda 600LC fishing reels along with Daiwa Interline, Shimano Talora, Ugly Stick and Storm Rods accompanied by three Vector high speed electric downriggers.
Our Tackle:
The tackle industry is continually developing new lures and presentations. In turn, we have extensive collections of the newest baits and the older baits that have been proven to catch big fish. Our fishing style allows us several different presentations including downriggers, dipsy divers/slide divers, outriggers, plainer boards, leadcore, and copper so we can target the fish and turn this into fun for you. With a combination of, boat, electronics, equipment, tackle, and expertise, chances of catching a TROPHY of a lifetime aboard the RoodDawg are in your favor. We work hard every trip to try to make that happen!
